Thanks! I most like the idea of the emergency fishing kit. These would be great birthday gifts for my sons. I may add one small fishing rod eye to the kit though, so they can make a fishing pole from a stick...this will allow them to do the old-school creek fishing underhand swinging cast like I grew up doing.

Slick. Time to start raiding the fast food establishments.

I made some this weekend and they worked great. The cotton, Vaseline and magnesium worked great. It ignited with one stoke from the flit stone and burned for about five minutes. The only down fall was that they were messy to make. I also made some for Advil and Ty PM. Does anyone know where to find straws with larger diameter?

we were at antlers tavern in twisp and they had some FAT straws i wanted to snag but didnt....
probably the coors lights with breakfast made me forget

so far I've made onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne, olive oil
i want to try butter for stovetop stuffing!
