Ultralight Bear Fence

Anyone ever use one of these dudes? Got a tag this fall in an area where there are supposed to be a ton of grizz, and was considering spike camping a night or two. 8 AAs doesn't seem like a ton of current, but I guess it'd be spicy to a wet nose?

I’ve used one and with a good ground it works. I accidentally touched a wire while kneeling on the ground next to it and it was a substantial shock. Felt the current in my knee that was grounded. I recently picked up the sureguard energizer that doesn’t get quite as high on the tester but close and significantly lighter. It only runs two wires, but seems like a good trade off for weight.
