I’m going on a high country mule deer hunt this season and I’m looking for a good 2-way radio option. Definitely need one with earpiece capabilities (I think 🤷‍♂️). Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you

Depends on your definition of “good,” but if it’s a small, simple form factor with all of the unnecessary features stripped away I’d recommend the Retevis R22 or similar.

Baofeng Bf f8hp, the extra power wont get you much, but it helps. If you really care about distance, get a new antenna. Any Kenwood plug accessories work with em, so the world is your oyster for earpieces.

Rocky Talkies are marketed more for backcountry skiing but theyre pretty rugged and waterproof. Can't remember on earpiece adaptability but they have carabiners on both ends so you can clip to shoulder strap next to ear
