I was just going through some of my old archery stuff that I was given when I first got into archery. I didn't realize that these were releases until now (7 years of archery knowledge later). So now that I know what they are, can anyone tell me anything about them?? The other day I was just telling a buddy how I wanted to try one of the hand held releases out so I am pretty stoked. Any knowledge would help (are they worth using or are they just junk?). Thanks!!! TruFire Crackshot is a thumb release, and the Gourley is a pinky.

I used a crackshot back in the mid-late80's. Black or red molded handle, plunger style thumb release ? Back then there weren't nearly as many to choose from. Give it a whirl but there are much much better releases around now, with a trigger that is adjustable for both weight and zero creep. Good luck .
