So I'm in the market for a new bow sight (5-pin model). After checking out a lot of the older threads on the forum, there were a ton of great reports about Spot Hogg and Montana Black Gold. I was sold on getting one of those, maybe leaning toward the MBG. I really like their pin micro adjust features.

Then I was down at the archery shop the other day, and they were talking about the Trophy Ridge React sight. Very interesting sight, any sight adjustments basically adjust all other pins accordingly.

I was looking forward to having a sight that I could micro adjust each pin in, like with the Spot Hogg or MBG, but this TR React sight suddenly seems much more user-friendly than trying to sight in each individual pin separately, especially at longer yardages.

Has anybody used one of these TR React sights and are they as nice as the advertising?

Hey Solo yes. I can tell you all about the react. First of all if your not shooting enough FPS the TR React is useless it needs a minimum of 260 fps I believe to work right.

Haven't shot it through the chrono, but I'd be pretty disappointed if by bow wasn't shooting faster than 260 fps (Mathews Z7).

Beyond that detail, thanks for the feedback about the sights. Since reading your post, I've read other customers' comments that they've sometimes had trouble with Trophy Ridge sights breaking... but that they were replaced quickly with great customer service. Of course, even with great customer service, I wouldn't be excited about buying a product that has questionable strength and durability.

But, to be fair, none of those Trophy Ridge complaints were about their absolute latest sights, and none specifically about the Trophy Ridge React sight.

Anybody else have any experience with the Trophy Ridge React sight?

I've used the react sight since I came out. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Heck I dropped it on the patio out back the first day I had it trying to put it on in a hurry. It's very solid very well built. The only complaint I have is the pins may be a little to bright. 50yards and beyond I have a hard time seeing past the pins, and this is without the aid of the rheostat light. It's great if your in the shade or cloudy day, or dusk, but mid day in broad daylight it's a little bright for me. Could be the size as well. I believe they are .29 instead of .19.

HC they have a new Pro version of this sight coming out this year. MAP will be $250. Its an all aluminum body now with micro adjust windage and elevation adjustments now. Id steer clear of the polymer version. We had several of them come back due to the windage bar cracking. The new Pro version is a very nice sight and a great improvement.
