This tripod is a discontinued model from Voretex. I used it from 2015-2017. According to Vortex it is the "ultimate field-packing tripod, the Summit provides the perfect combination of size, weight, rugged build and fast operation. No other tripod gets out of your pack and on target quicker than a Summit. Choose the Summit SS (Super Short) for minimum packing length."
The bino adapter is a post that fits into the tripod and the other part (covered with the blue tape) connects to your binos. It isn't a secure fit like other adapters, but a "drop in" fit if that makes sense.
