I’ve got a couple scopes to mount after turkey season, but my little mind started wondering today…I’ve got a tripod and a 4-way laser level; why not use it to square the crosshairs on a scope when mounting?

Is anyone using this method? If so, how’d it work out for you?

It works great, especially when matching a level to the crosshairs. Just a fancy version of the common plum bob method.

That’s my preferred way actually.

1. Level the gun
2. Level the crosshairs to the laser level.

We’re on the same page.

Was going to level the gun side-to-side and front-to-back on my shooting tripod, then level the crosshairs to the laser level, which is on its own tripod.

Make sense?

Works even better if you just use a digital level on the gun...sg pulse, send it. Etc.

A plum Bob is always straight. A laser on the wall might not be.
