Has anyone removed the angle locks on a Leofoto tripod? There seems to be more than enough tension in the legs to support anything I am going to put on there, and all they do it get in the way and make loud clicking noises when they get bumped and go into the lock position.

I don't use the angle locks on my Leofoto. Instead of removing them, I just leave them unlocked. One less thing to do if setting up in a hurry. I haven't had any issues with the tripod moving while unlocked and I'm setup to fire. Once setup, it's still very stable. I never thought about it moving around while unlocked.

I find that after you get use to leaving the legs unlocked it's very fast to setup. My tripods the inverted model. With a single leg adjustment for each leg, and open leg locks it's much faster setting up than multiple leg extensions.
I will have to play with mine more. I try to keep them unlocked, but on the model I have they snap down when you bump them. I was thinking about wedging a piece of foam in them so they stay open.
