Alright folks, I am traveling to Dawson city early august for a hunt with midnight sun. Denver-Calgary-Whitehorse-Dawson city. Have a stop both ways in Calgary. Anyone have a recommendation for a hotel that’s convenient in Calgary? Last piece of my intone ray I haven’t booked yet.

Have stayed at the Acclaim several times, most recently last month coming home from northern BC bear hunt, clean, handy to airport, decent Italian steakhouse and bar.

I have an overnight in Calgary before Edmonton and on to the NWT next Friday, I booked at the Hampton Inn by the airport. Was something like $130/night, there were cheaper nearby but I had points to burn.

Does anyone know of a hotel in Calgary that has freezer space available to its guests? I will have a rental car.

I will likely have 2 nights in Calgary so any recommendations on restaurants, etc. would be appreciated.

How did your hunt go? Did not see any posts. Was it for a fannin?

I put two ice mule xL cooler bags in freezer at the Hilton Garden inn, don’t know if a good tip at the bar with my server greased the skids or not but she was the person I asked. I don’t recall her name. I was too beat to go out to eat, the food at hotel bar/grill was decent, they had a bunch of local beers on tap.

I live in Calgary. Marriot by the airport would be your best bet. AirBnB could also be a possibility if it’s within the budget, tons of new communities right around the airport
