Christian, Father, Husband, Bowhunter, Texas A&M class of 2002.
I was pretty much born with a bow in hand (first trip hunting was at 3 months old). I grew up shooting recurves hunting and shooting 3D. I shot olympic recurve at Texas A&M from 1999-2002. I continued to shot traditional for a few years after college before submitting to the dark side (compounds).
I have lived and hunted in Texas my entire life. I started hunting out of state around 10 years ago. I really caught the western hunting bug about 5 years ago and now spend most of my idle time planning for western hunts. I have 4 western hunts planned for 2018 (Jan-AZ mule deer / May-MT black bear / Aug-CO mule deer / Sept-? elk (CO is fall back)). I enjoy the physical aspect of the hunts and train year round to stay fit for mountain hunting.
I've been lurking here for some time and appreciate that most of the folks share my backcountry hunting passion.
I find that I am drawn to threads with pics so here you go.
I shot this elk in September on a solo Colorado OTC archery hunt.
