Too short trim length won’t eject?

Trimmed 308 below the min, and they won’t eject. Does that make sense? The brass is actually 7.62, everything else 308. Thanks

I would bet you bumped the shoulder back too far.
No I tested it a few times. Def below 2.000 the shell won’t return with the bolt. Falls out when vertical. 2.000>2.025ish smooth operation. >2.035 very difficult

According to the saami drawing, .308 headspaces on the shoulder, not the case mouth.

Trim length is 2.005 and you could easily go to 2.990. You could cut the hole neck off and it wouldn’t have any bearing on the ability to extract. 2.035 and the case mouth is .010 over max case length, and I’d expect some issues.

always a good idea to have a 308 gauge block to check rounds. also not a bad idea to have go - no go gauges for your rifle.
trim length doesn't affect extraction, but bumping shoulder back too far will. as will improper headspace.

Either something is wrong with the extractor in your bolt, or you sized so much that the round goes so deep that the extractor cannot grab the rim.

Either way don’t fire one, will be a pain to get out if it’s even safe.

if you have the tools measure shoulder bump. if you dont have the tool use a 45 case [most any pistol case works] over the neck and measure base of case to base of pistol case. do this on a fired unsized case and one you have sized.

this will tell you how far back you have bumped the shoulder.
