Titanium tent stove..

In the market for a titanium wood stove for a sawtooth I just bought... any ideas or anyone have one to sell?

Look into lite outdoors. They make a titanium stove for a good price.

Lite Outdoors, GOAT, SeekOutside or Smith(Kifaru). All would do exactly what you want. Really just personal preference. I went with the LO 18” stove because of the great reviews and weight.

I have the SO XL for my sawtooth and Lil' Big Out tents. Have a Kifaru Med Box stove that hasn't come out in 2 years now. It's nice to have the flat top for cooking, weighs so much less, and the I like the door better than anything else I've seen. Other than trying to pack the damper, I hope somehow in the future they will make a damper so it packs down flat.

I have a homemade stainless box stove that is 8x8x10 and have been looking at the large seek outside Ti stove to replace it so I can fit longer pieces in the stove and save myself 2lbs. I use it in my cimarron right now but was looking at getting a 6 man tipi in the future for the extra space and ability to stand up inside.

Are any of these “no longer used” stoves for sale? I just spent 550.00 on a shelter and really cant afford a new stove at this point..

I made a DIY stove recently that has worked great. If you want any tips on building one let me know. I don’t know any brands that can get this large but break in half like mine does.

I’d say between $200 and $250 for materials and tools. I bought a spot welder that’s not included in that cost from harbor freight that was very expensive so try to borrow one. I might make a post on here with step by step instructions if people are interested.

I tried to source supplies near me in van. Canada. But it was going to be very close to lite outdoors price...
Ammo can, buffet warming trays, camping bbq s gutted.... There is lots of things you could use.. but still wound up being over $200 for me
Would be interested to see your supply list.

Yep, your spot on dog812. For example I got most of my material from McMaster Carr who charge an arm and a leg for shim stock and titanium “foil”. If anyone knows of a source supplier, that would cut down cost tremendously.

looks like a TiGoat Wifi that you hinged in the middle. You need to include your welder in the price, you had to buy it to build it. That's parts and labor cost.

It’s actually the most similar to Rota Locura, an offshoot of TiGoat. I actually sold my spot welder and recouped nearly all my money, but yes I’ll include the cost in the build thread for those who are curious how much $ it would add if they had to get one.

Could you not use a mig welder turned down to weld it? Mine will weld sheet metal.
