So I ended up dumping the cash for a Timney for my Xbolt Long Range stalker. After buying a trigger gauge I discovered I couldn't get the trigger below ~2.75lbs with a MCARBO trigger spring.
I could tell you about how nice the trigger itself is, but I think Timneys reputation speaks for itself. It was easy to drop the pull to 1.75lbs. Crisp. No excessive overtravel, no creep(the stock trigger would have creep randomly with the new trigger spring).
After reading a ton of reviews on the trigger, it seems most people had to modify their stock to make the safety work. Due to different construction, the safety bar binds up against the stock when you drop it in.
I considered inletting the stock some, but then I decided the safety bar was just a piece of metal. I took the bar and bent it some to give it some more clearance(and it helped it stay hooked into the safety switch itself)... but it still bound up. So I took a grinder to the outside of the bar and removed some material. This turned out to be the ticket, after that it worked like a charm. It was also easier than inletting the stock(IMO).
