I’m sure this has been discussed it great length, but seems to be quite scattered in answers. I’m awaiting my LH Tikka T3x lite Veil in 300Win Mag. I’ve already purchased a limbsaver airtech, area 419 scope rail, Hawkins 35mm rings, and precision armament hypertap Ti slim body break. Optics is leupold mark 5 hd 3.6x18. My questions are, what can I do to the factory stock to make it better? Pillars, bottom metal, sanding out pressure points? I’d prefer not to have to spend the money on a new stock if possible. Also what factory ammo do people seem to be having the best luck with out of there Tikka 300win? I don’t plan on reloading now or in the near future as I just don’t have the time. I’ve heard a lot of issues with the mountain tactical bottom metal? Is that still the case?

Make sure the barrel channel has enough room. Check the contact points under the barrel too and ensure it’s completely free floated. Add a vertical grip if that’s your jam and maybe a cheek riser. Lower the factory trigger weight as low as it goes, put it all together and go shoot.

Eldx typically shoots great

Out of curiosity, are you advising to remove the small plastic pressure points that are designed into the tikka factory synthetic stock that apply pressure just in front of the chamber area on the barrel?
