Tikka T3X lite 7mm which Mark5HD?

Gun will end up a 7SAUM with a Proof Sendero carbon barrel. Until then I have a mountain tactical 20moa rail. (Might swap for a 0moa rail depending on scope 5-25x56 has 120moa of internal adjustment) I'm debating on 3.6-18x44 or the 5-25x56. I also have .95 Seekins rings already.
I want to be able to shoot steel as far as I can for fun. (1500 or so) and will get hunted with for bear.

If these bears are the brown variety, I’d take the lower power option in case you need to use that rifle at close range.

I converted my tikka t3 to a 7saum as well and went with the 3.6-18 and I love it!! Already pushed to 1200 with no problems at all!

It’s Mae by beartooth products. Neoprene on the outside, inside is rubberized. Doesn’t move at all once it’s on, it also comes with about 8 different foam pads to different heights.

Lefty too! I also went 3.6-18. mainly cause I got it cheap.

could you describe your build. I have a 260 that I want to convert to 7 scum when I'm done with the barrel. What mag set up? Does it feed well?

Either scope will work well . Higher power is nice for trying to shoot tiny groups at 100 and steel at longer distances when conditions allow. Many times the mirage will require less magnification and the lower power scope will work great in that scenario.

I have a 6.5 PRC on the way and the MK5HD is on my short list. My question is why that scope and not another, such as a NX8?
