Has anyone ever used McMaster-Carr for hardware? They have a huge selection. This was the closest I found on their website according to everyone's description (m4 x 0.5, 6mm length), but it's stainless.

McMaster is legit. We order a BUNCH of stuff from them at work, and I order several hundred dollars worth of hardware a year from them at home for various projects.

Just to close the book on this, the threads are confirmed M4x0.5. I just test fit the screws I ordered (from McMaster) that will be used to align the new front sight base I’m working on.
