WTS Tikka, 6 cm, 16”, 5/8, Lite Hybrid

For the guys in AZ, can you spin the new barrel on?
Yes, send your action and we are torquing it on for free with a barrel right now.

$627 for these or for the barrels listed in the LS Wild Armory update thread.

I just had more 16” than expected so posted them here.

I’m getting 2900fps w 112s on 18”, should be above 2800 easily w 112s.
Yeah, should follow that. The velocity I gave were for the first bullets out of the barrel. That is the lowest it will be for the barrel. Should speed up to at least 2700 with factory ammo.

The sub 2700 seems way slow, but in my experience Hornady ammo is slow, and I get it’s a new barrel. 2800 is what I would like to see with 108’s. I would think that would be doable??

What was the 16” 22CM getting with 80’s?

Looking back, I was getting 2720fps w Hornady Black 105s when barrel was brand new. Seems like more of a reflection on the ammo than the barrels.

Agree with most in here on the hand loads. You should be over 2800fps with a 108.

I'm getting 2900fps out of a PBB 7.5 20" 6cm, 5k da, 108 eldm over 40gr of h4350.

With a bit of room to bump charge, would think you could swing around 2800 out of a 16", if so my math comes out to just shy of 2000fps at 600.

So if I'm getting another barrel, and likely a UM can, only makes sense to just get another action and a wood rokstock lite while I'm at it...

How hard are these to install at home? I added a 6.5 PRC recently so thinking my 6.5cm would be much better converted to a 6cm. Never swapped a barrel before and dont have any special equipment for it.

Tikka are a PAIN to take off for a rookie. You definitely need the equipment and tools are about $500 bucks to pull a factory barrel. Tools to switch after that are $175.

Right now, ship us the barreled action without the trigger, and we’ll swap it free if you buy it.

Forgive my ignorance, does pulling trigger assembly allow one just to ship it regular ups without any of the headaches?

Sending it to an FFL for work or repair, I'm pretty sure you can send it straight to them, and they can send it straight back to you.

I just sent him a rifle last week USPS. No issues.

Range report from a customer who just screwed the barrel on and shot a few. 108 factory ammo was 2665 fps. Should settle out higher once broke in.

Look how good it shoots already…

Would a 7mmRM mag work to use for 6CM? I am sure my 6.5CM would but I also have quite a bit of ammo stocked up for it. I would not miss the 7RM at all.

If it didnt work as is would it just involve buying a new bolt or is there more to it?

Your 7mm has a magnum bolt face, to go to 6cm, you'd need a standard bolt face. You could try to swap someone and then you would be good. You'd also probably want the short action bolt stop. And different mags.

I did as @lak2004 mentioned. Traded my magnum bolt for a standard on here. You don't have to replace the bolt stop, but it'll have a longer stroke with the LA stop.

Very pleased turning my 300WM into this 6 CM

PM me, if you would like to do a “trade in” I might swap take the magnum rifle in trade for a barreled action in 6 creed.
