Testing the waters on this. I have a 26" Benchmark Tikka barrel chambered in straight 284 Win with a PTG reamer throated for 180s. It's a 1:9 twist, stainless, 5R cut rifled. No muzzle threads. Benchmark #4 contour with the shank turned down to match the Tikka action diameter. Currently 764rds on the barrel, expect it to go another 1500rds at least. Barrel has displayed great accuracy (1-1.2" 10 shot groups) with Berger 175gr Elite Hunters at 2830fps, and shows promise with the Hornady 162 ELDMs at 2950fps. This barrel is in 7RM territory with ~55grs of powder and a standard bolt face (and long action). Barrel is painted OD green with tan/brown sponge accents. I would like to bundle my Redding dies and 200 pcs of Lapua brass with 4 firings on it. I would be looking for $700 for the full turnkey package. My motivation to sell is just a desire to go to a 6UM or something like it.
