I know there is probably a simple answer for this one but what are you guys using for checking outside temps?

They make lightweight sticker thermometers if it is of that much interest, I do some home brewing and attach them to my carboys. There are also lightweight thermos for checking stream temps for fly fishing. I don't need to know the temp that specifically in the field.

Ha, ha, my hand only gives me three readings, warm, cold, or friggin freezing. I've thought about the stick on ones as we have one for an aquarium but it only goes so low, but I guess they would make different ones. Just curious as i've heard a lot of guys talking about temps in tents or outside, would be nice to know when trying different gear.

My Casio pro trek takes a temp reading. It's only close to accurate when it's off your wrist and away from body heat.

Do you really want to know how cold it is???

I usually just look at my water bottle/bladder in the morning - few ice crystals = its a titty bit nipply, slush = wish I brought the wood burning stove, frozen solid = its gonna be a long day.
