I few days back I received the Krptek Koldo jacket and pants in the mail. First impression was the Koldo jacket and pants are bomber proof and they are no question about it. I sent them back, my reasons were two fold. One reason was the fit. I am 5’10, 185lbs with a 45” chest and 32.5” waist. I ordered the pants in a 34” and the Jacket in Large. The fit was perfect if I was just wearing merino wool base layer under the rain gear as my primary outer layer day in and day out. That is perhaps want you folks due in PNW and perhaps Alaska. If I hunted those wet environments this would be my choice. Anything in addition to layering beyond my base layer I would have to go up one size in both the jacket and pants. I hunt the Elk season in the Colorado High Country and chase Whitetails in Nebraska every year. So common sense told me Koldo jacket and pants were over kill for me. I just wouldn’t use the Koldo Jacket and pants enough in the environments I hunt to justify the money. I kind of knew that before ordering. So why did I place the order? It’s that damn GIF. Aron warned us! I still might re-order the jacket in a XL. LOL>
