The downside to all the new Kifaru Packs

Seems like the resale market has went down the crapper on used packs. The days of getting most of your money back on like new packs is gone. Thanks Kifaru and all you other pack makers.

What are you wanting to sell? There is still a market but it may take a little longer to get a price you want.

I think its not that the resale value has gone down, but rather the market for quality packs has risen and made for more demand for the latest and greatest. People are more willing to pay for new...(the latest and greatest) vs buying what they feel is last years inferior model. Though we all know that this years greatest will be old news soon. I judge my gear on hard use and necessity. If it was made in 1950 but lasts through the abuse you'll find it in my pack or on my back. my 0.02.

Ah, yeah I can see the challenge of selling a T1 with integrated frame as opposed to all of the pack options now that can work with stand alone frames.

you still have a great pack so keep using it. If you don't get the money you think you need for it give it to your kids and buy one of the new ones for yourself.

You had me up until here. ^^^

I don't think it's so much the latest and greatest but that there's so many really great packs out there now. There's just so many options that people can be more selective and not jump on a Kifaru when one comes up for sale. Same with clothing I'd suspect. If you were to look at used Sitka when they first came out, compared to now I bet it's lower now with all the competition from all the other mountain hunting clothes out there now.

I agree with what LostArra said. Anything hunting related is going to be tough to sell until people start receiving their tax refunds. Then it will start to pick up. I do agree though that T1's are tough to move and I think it's because of the EMR II. I had my T1 up for sale right after archery season and never had a bite on it until a buddy offered me his bow for it around Thanksgiving.
