I am trying to decide on a light tent set up for my son and i for backpack fishing and hunting. I ahve a cimaron and I am thinking about adding a nest but kind of overkill for early season and fishing and way overkill for a solo tent for my solo excurions. Was looking at the SO silex, Eolus and silvertip as well.

For solo, my Sillex/Borah bivy combo is just under 30oz. tough to beat unless you go with DCF. For 2 I'd look at the Eolus or Silvertip. You could squeeze 2 in a Silex in a pinch if you had to , It would be tight though.
