I have a howa / vanguard rifle that I hate carrying because I can’t stand the larger squared off forearm and belly of the stock. 99% of the time I’m carrying a rem 700 mountain rifle and that slim stock is a joy to carry. Anyone ever say f it, and take a belt sander to one of these stocks to round things off and make it feel a little better? Obviously I’d sand and restain the whole stock. I don’t gives chit about looks, bumps, scrapes, etc., just like a rifle that Carrys and shoot well. Anyone ? TIA...

No i prefer mine. Makes it nice when im shooting off of a rest. The gun seems steadier shooting off of a branch, pack, etc....

I'm probably going to do the same thing to my t3x over the holidays. As a carpenter I've packed enough 2x4' to want my rifle to not feel like one ☺
