Tag bags vs Argali

I bought a couple sets of TAG Bombs a few years ago and they've seen more meat than a woman of ilrepute.

I like how they fill out with boned out meat and I can fit deer quarters in them.

But Argali seems pretty sweet with a few neat features. Are they worth it? I listed to Budd talk to the guy on Rokcast but they were sold out last fall. Are they more durable? I abused the heck out my TAGs and they held up.

I would stick with TAG bags, I have not used argali though. I have used the caribou brand bags when I didn't plan ahead and could not get a hold of more TAG bags before a hunt. They are not the same quality as the TAG bags. Plus the guy that created the TAG bags seems like a good guy, also I believe he was the first to come out with that "type" of bag.

I actually just ordered some more for this year here on the Rokslide store. The kit they have with both TAG bags and the kifaru meat bag is a good deal.

Haha yeah my friend decided to buy Caribou last year. Those are not made for backpack hunting. So heavy!
I think the first time I saw Snyder was on his video of the BOMB bags...

I'm not sure about the other synthetic brands, but I've been pounding on TAG bags for almost 20 years now and still have some of my original's. They've hauled thousands of pounds of moose and other various game animals. Larry Bartlett, the owner of Pristine Adventures is a straight shooter and good guy. I won't buy any other brand, because quite simply, the TAG bags have never let me down and work great.

I also can't speak to the Argali bags. I will say though, Larry is an increidble guy. I emailed him asking about shipping rates as I wanted to order a couple individual TAG bags to replace a few that someone else had thrown in the garbage by accident. Instead of discussing shipping options, he simply mailed me two new bags entirely free of charge. Incredible customer service.

I used the Argali high country pack last year for a bull and cow (de-boned) and a buck, and despite some staining that wouldn't come out they are like new. The gunk and smells washed out easily, the stitching and the cordage is in perfect condition, the reflective logo and cordage is great for low-light, the meat cooled well, and it's a tiny kit!

I added flagging and two pairs of nitrile gloves to the bag. The plastic sheet included is a joke, I'd ditch that.

I have both a set of BOMB bags and argali bags . They both work great but the argali end up in the kill kit more often personally. I don’t think you can go wrong either way.

The Argali bags are amazingly lightweight but still feel really durable. I have a ton of gamebags but the Argali's will be in my pack this year for sure.

I've been using the TAG Bags for about 4 years and have had great luck with them. I've been thinking about trying the Argali bags, but with how well the Tag Bags have been for me, I don't know if I could go away from them.

Caribou bags are heavy?? Come on man, I have the elk sized set and 'Carnivore' set, they are not heavy, they are thin synthetic material. If you like the Tag bags better, that's great, but I would not call the Caribou bags heavy.
