Iv been a handle shooter for coming up on three years now. From the very start in my archery career I was a wrist slinger and loved it at the time simply because that was all I had known and all I had seen. Years down the road after having to put the bow down and pick up a M4 to fight a war in Afghanistan I finally had the chance and money to buy a new bow and start all over with my gear that was made for the mountains. I decided to go with a T handle release by Tru Fire to get my foot in the door and see if I would like it, and well its safe to say I cant put it down, iv tried going back and just cant. This release is the 3D hunter and is a 4 finger a great handle to get started with but the more I have gained in knowledge of correct shooting and the more in depth view of archery iv noticed that this release has been a fight for me the whole time, pulling shots, dropping shots, not being able to hold my pin. I took my pinky out of the equation and man what I difference I hold so steady compared to normal and feels like im pulling back less and I think this has to do with the overall pulling area I had with my 4 fingers vs my 3 fingers. its almost as if my pinky was pulling my release away and causing me to rush I don't know the best term for it but what I do know is try 3 fingers one day your out practicing and you might find it makes you more accurate as it did for me.
