SWFA on 223?

What loads are you shooting in 223?

Just factory till next year.

Had a case and a half of Norma 77g smk match that shot at a minute
Hornady Black 75 bthp are shooting great and got a case of that they are right at a minute
Black hills 75 bthp didn’t shoot all that well.

Overall I haven’t found anything that shoots awesome yet but acceptable for me anyways.

Another plus on swfa, keep an eye out for ammo sales, a month ago I got a case of the Hornady black for 9 bucks a box, and a case of Hornady match 73s for 11 bucks a box

My t3x superlite In 6.5 Creedmoor has the sports match rings and the SWFA 3-9. I’m not a long range shooting expert but with that rifle hitting my 10” steel at 700yds isn’t terribly difficult.

That being said, I’ve fallen back in love with the nightforce SHV scopes and was thinking of getting another for that rifle.

^^^the finally built it with a bdc. Might be the perfect scope for an uber LW set up shooting close-ish distances.....

been waiting for that one now for a year

Truth be told I got a tikka 223 topped with an swfa at the recommendation of this site as well. Iv had it for almost a year now.

Worth the money, and has saved me even more on ammo. I have shot it more this year than I have my other big guns the last 5. Shooting 100 rounds during a session at the range dosnt hurt the wallet like the 300 win mag does.

Best thing Iv done to improve my shooting.

Slap a cheek piece on the stock, a vertical grip and a couple cases of ammo and your set.

On top of that my wife loves shooting it, someday maybe kids will enjoy shooting it, and until then it’s about the perfect handy coyote gun.

Iv only been able to take it out to 500. But have been happy with it’s accuracy.

That's exactly the reason I bought it, me,wife, kids and learning the reticle ffp setup also. Cheap and recoil is biggy for me and can move another gun for varmints.

What is the grip you recommend? X3?

Beretta sells a vertical grip for the T3x that’s plug and play.

^ that’s the one. You can get them on midway, euro optic, most of the bigger sites.

The vertical grip is definitely worth it. One screw and it’s on.
