I have a 6.5 Grendel that needs a scope, weight isn’t an issue as varmint hunting is sort of a winter thing when I can take my snow machine out. I was looking at the vortex strike eagle 1-6 but it seems like the SWFA 1-4 is a more robust scope.

Anybody using one?

I don't have one but they are not made in the same factory. Taiwan i believe.
Thats not to say they still are not good.
The power ring on the 1-4 and 3-15 is backwards of all other scopes.
Absolutely a deal breaker for me.
You should put your 6x on it and just offer up a fools ransom for a 3-9

Or look at the 1-6 credo

No real world experience with the 1-4 but I just bought a 1-6 SWFA for a 5.56 AR15. I almost bought a 1-4 because they’re available. I read a lot of posts on various forums and it looked like the 1-4 wasn’t as durable/ didn’t handle recoil as well. Kinda a mixed bag of reviews but that’s what I took from it.

I had a SWFA 1-4x for a bit of time on one of my ARs. It was durable for me and held the zero. Easy to use turrets. The reticle took some time to get used to and it was a bit heavy. I switched to a NF 1-4x and haven’t looked back.
