Have you ever compared this to the HD model?

I compared both side by side....I had both and just sold the non-HD to a slider, you best have pretty good eyes and know what to look for to see much difference between them. It's a razor thin difference and you have to ask if the slight advantage, maybe a minute or so at dusk/dawn is worth the extra 600-700 dollars. I read somewhere where the optical improvement was 3%. Thats razor thin. The non-HD are under-rated and nothing else is better(other than the HD model, of course. I think this asking price is a very good deal for someone wanting alpha optics at a reasonable entry.

That is a solid review.
