Swarovski arca swiss not compatible with RRS

I have a swaro 115 BTX. The stock mounting foot is arca swiss. Problem is it's loose when mounted on my RRS anvil 30 ball head. Usable but loose. If the ball head is tilted down it will slide out. If I attempt to carry the tripod with the objective mounted it will slide out. RRS provides a method of tightening the Arca Swiss clamp on the Anvil 30 that would fix this, but then my RRS cinch bino adapter wouldn't fit, as it's a perfect -tight- fit now. Anyone else have this issue and figured out a work around?

I just dumped a bunch of money into the ATX system and admittedly don’t have the 115mm objective AND I have the BH-55, not the Anvil 30, but have you looked into just getting an arca plate?

Tried the same with the VA-5, works but sloppy. Add a machined dedicated plate.

To adjust the Anvil you just grab and pull the floating foot in and give the bolt/nut a spin a little tighter or looser no? Pain in the *ss but no different than some of the quick change pic clamps when swapping around on different rails.

Problem is ARCA plates vary within tolerances just like Pic rails so they often don't swap quickly without adjusting the heads or clamp mechanisms. Siriu is bad at this. I have a couple of different length plates from them and they fit differently. That’s what bugs me about the VA-5, you have to mess with the small clamp lever to fit varying ARCA plates every time you swapped to a slightly different plate. I much prefer quick knobs like on the Kirk stuff. On the VA-5 I mounted a Kirk clamp to an ARCA plate and left the Kirk permanently on the VA-5 head so I didn't have to mess with the little lever when swapping optics.

Same problem for me. Added a plate to the bottom. Kinda annoying on principle but it works.

I found that any Arca or similar plate with a sharp angle at the bottom doesn't work in the RRS quick throw attachments, but they do work in anything that is tightened with a threaded attachment (ie 40 and 55 series ball heads)

Any arca with a slightly softer (rounded) angle at the bottom of the foot typically work in the quick throw heads, such as the Anvil 30, etc.

I use the Anvil 30 with my XLR chassis, Swaro 95, and the Swaro TAs adapter for binos. Everything clamped in fine and doesn’t move. I haven’t adjusted it from the factory.

Interesting that the 115 isn’t working with it.
