Yes, I have the 10x40W GA and the 7x42 GA.
They are both amazing glasses. Higher light transmission than anything made, which speaks volumes for the inherent advantages of the porro prism. Except for the modern, up to date optical coatings they have remained unchanged since 1942 when the were first released. Resolution is amazing too. The FOV is a little small on the 7x42 but not a deal breaker. The depth of field is also amazing.

They are built like......well you know how they built things in WW2. They are something your grandson will use one day.

If you have a spare week, jump on Bird forum and search Habicht on the bino forum. There are volumes of info and opinion there. Don't worry about the stiff focus the birders carry on about. As a hunter and with the depth of field they have, I find myself not using the focus much anyway. Birders want the entire focal range in a half turn for quickly observing birds at any range.

You get an alpha view and quality for half the price of an roof alpha.

The porros are really good if you don't wear glasses and are not particular about a flat field.

I wear glasses so all of the eye pieces are either folded, butchered or both

It's true that they are very high quality binos for about half the price of normal high quality binos. The biggest downside is that they pretty much need to be special-ordered from Europe, which can cost a few months.
I ordered mine from Camera Land in June and got them in the beginning of October a couple of years ago.
