Summer Coues Deer in Mexico?

A friend and I were wondering why we haven't seen any summer coues deer hunts offered in Mexcio. They should be pounding the water that time of year and they would be in velvet. Some great bucks are killed this time of year in Arizona. There must be a reason.

I don't think the season opens in Sonora until November, could be wrong...

The earliest I have seen hunts for is October. Pretty sure its based on the Sonora hunting season. They did extend the hunt into Feb a couple years ago. Not sure I'd want to hunt summer coues in Mex.... such a great winter break in Jan!
