I mistakenly assumed there was a Dromedary cap with a Quick link coupling.

would the spigot cap allow me to rig a hose for receiving the filtered water from my Sawyer filter if I added a hose on the end of the spigot and quick link it to the filter?

My idea is to fill up a bag and let it filter unattended without overflowing or spilling.

it should, or you could fill from the bite valve end. On my camelback I use a quick connect on my bite valve and on the hiker pro. connect, fill, disconnect.

bob the Dromedary only has the one opening. The Hydromedary is their Hydration packthat you are thinking of.

My Concern was that the hose connection on that spigot cap was not constructed for reverse flow.

My other option I considered was to drill a hole in another solid cap and put a 1/4 " hose barb, and Q/L that hose.

I looked into using a Drom to filter into, as you are describing. The only options to hook a hose up to the bladder that I found were the one you posted a pic of, or the hydration tube kit itself. Both are the same price, (about $20) and give you the same tube to splice a QC into...

If ya got a sealed cap to mess with, adding a fitting/hose to it sounds like a good idea!

The piece you have in the picture above is exactly how I set mine up. I leave the little flip up cap on it most of the time as the elbow seems a little fragile to be jammed in my pack. When I'm ready to pump I screw the elbow on I (only use about 2" or the tube) with a quick connect, hook up and fill.
