Just bought the Alaknak 12x12 outfitter 2 tent. it has a stove jack. I see there are different sized stoves you can buy. The one I have my eye on says its good to heat a 16'x24' space, the one below that one says its good for a 14'x16' space. Id rather have the slightly larger stove I think but im just not sure if its actually needed. This isnt for full on winter camping and hunting, just Alaska fall time hunting season Sept-Oct.

Go bigger. You can always close it down, but if its cold and you are limited on size of the fire, you will just wish you had gone bigger. Im assuming weight isnt an issue. I have a 14x16 Davis tent and got "the peak" stove that they sell, which is the largest they have. Its been great in my minimal use of it so far. We did an ice fishing trip in Jan/Feb, with daytime highs in the teens, and it performed well.

Well 2 years ago I had a nice blizzard In the first week of September and that was just north of the Eureka Roadhouse, so I would go with the biggest stove that can fit. October in the same area last year was single digits at night during the cow hunt I took my grandpa on. If we were going overnight it would have sucked.
