Looking to get a stove for an Argali Absaroka 4P tent. This will be a gift, I personally have no experience with stoves and hot tents. If you don't have a recommendation, I'd be happy to hear about things I should consider when looking for one. Thanks
I have the liteoutdoors stove. Great stove and pretty easy setup. This stove burns hot and for a decent amount of time. The only issue I have is packing the stove. It comes with a cheap thin carrying cover that the metal destroys in no time. I think the SeekOutside stove would be a lot better for packing. I had one of Seeks small stoves and returned it. It was tiny and no way it would burn a decent amount of time. I thought Seek’s set up was very simple and easy to use though.
I’ve had really good luck with the argali stove. I’ve used Kifaru and seek outside. The setup process isn’t terrible on any of them, but I like the way the argali goes together.
I’ve only used an older TiGoat cylinder stove but will eventually upgrade to the Argali. VIAM outdoors is selling one that seems pretty foolproof and is a little cheaper. It looks a lot like one a member on here was making.

Whatever became of the HOG Shepherd stove? It seems like it was a pretty well received design but the production fell flat on its face and I haven't really heard much of it in the last 5 years. Reason I'm asking is that I am designing a stove that is similar to their design with a few minor design improvements. I'm considering bringing it to market if I can hit my weight and durability goals with the prototype. Obviously I don't want to copy someone’s design if they're still working on producing it but it's been 5 years and I have yet to see one in person.
