Had a custom top access pocket installed on the Archer at my local shop. Works great! 9" double zip with cubenfiber liner. Sewn to the existing seams on the inside of the bag.

That looks awesome, I got my archer a month ago and love it so far. That one zipper would be a great add to this pack.

What does that zipper do for you? The bag already has an opening just above that zipper.

It's a separate pocket not an opening to the inside of the bag. Quick access to a headlamp, phone, or other small items without having to undo the 4 buckles and open the bag.

Gotcha. So do you plan on using that instead of the top lid pocket that came on the pack?

Correct, on shorter hunts I don't bring the lid with and when I do , many times I will leave it at spike.
