I was in Bozeman for a couple days this week and stopped by Stone Glacier to check out their new space. The showroom had a great display of their packs as well as mounts of some very impressive animals. I met up with Pete and got a tour of the shop and I must say this young company seems to be doing a lot of things right. It's nice to see such a business making US products and providing local folks jobs in the outdoors industry.,
I can't wait to give my Sky 5900 a workout this year.
If you find yourself in Bozeman it's well worth a stop, great folks to visit with...

Made the decision this year to put down the Kifaru Koolaid and try out the SG Sky Talus 6900. So far Im super happy with it. The new X Curve Frame is really comfortable. Its a toss up between both companies. They both are very comfortable packs. I just wanted a change and I really like how Kurt makes his Bags to go into Bivy mode.

That would be fun to to be able to drop in there sometime. I went all in on an Xcurve 5900 and an Avail when the Xcurve was released and love both of them.

I have very little highend hunting pack experiance but my xcurve and sky talus 6900 are very versatile yet minimalist. Excellent ventilation. Love the bivy mode. I never got into ultralight pullouts but the sg camp and swing out pockets are a nice idea.

Had a hard time between them and kifaru. I'm sure I would have been happy with kifaru but no regrets with sg. It's a big purchase and all the positive posts about a relatively new company are very reassuring.

I stopped by and checked out the new store today. Its an awesome store front, a bunch of awesome mounts and cool packs. I was having some fitment issues with my pack and Kurt personally spent an hour with me trying different things to get it right. Stone Glacier has always provided me with great customer service but today was above and beyond.
