Alternative list is still running for Montana. I think Colorado you still have a while till you can buy them

You still have the option in Utah as well for OTC general elk and OTC spike elk tags. Goes on sale in July.

Edited to add: IN Colorado. You can buy OTC elk tags at a distributor up until midnight before the hunt starts in units and seasons that have OTC tags. After that you can still buy them from CPW. Rifle tags for elk are only OTC in 2nd and 3rd seasons. Many units for archery oare OTC. Keep in mind that some units are draw only, consult the online CpW brochure for further info. There no OTC tags for deer.

OTC for Colorado Elk go on sale Aug 9 at 0900 Mountain Time. Not sure about other species (deer,etc)
