Very sad story, my prayers go out for his friends and family. I lost a friend to a fall of similar heights, it's hard to deal with the thought of these tragic accidents.

A very sad story. I would like to commend the efforts ofthe following despite the outcome:

To the hikers who were apparently out early for a summit attempt, who took theinitiative to investigate and render aid to one in need.

To MRA (Mountain Rescue Aspen) who have been on the cutting edge of utilizingair resources to render rapid SAR response in very austere conditions. Thereare many Colorado Counties that could follow their template.

To COARNG HAATS (Colorado Army National Guard, High Altitude Aviation TrainingSite) who are repeatedly called out on short notice for missions that can notbe handled by hospital based helicopters. These type of missions typicallybeing hoist, single skid, or multiple SAR team insertions at high elevations.

My condolences to the family.
