Well my buddy and I got drawn this year for copalis spring bear tags, let's just say it's not a really high hunt what do ever (highest spot was 320 ft above sea level in which we could see the ocean from that spot haha) but it is thick country and apparently not a easy tag to fill iv been told. I think luck was on our side we started hunting Saturday mid day checking the area out etc. Thinking WOW what a nasty brushy basterd this place is, found some ok cuts but nothing too worthy and a few good grassy roads. Well the grassy road we went by today held us a little sheer luck treat, don't know if it was our 11:11 wish to fill a tag or atleast see some sign that was recent, we found a nice boar feeding away on some grass as we were driving by, wind was right and what not so we set up on him before he pulled his head up to gander around and dropped the hammer on him. With no signs what so ever, old peels, etc. I'd say we didn't completely figure the area out but hey, meat in the freezer and I may throw him on the wall.

sounds like spring bear hunting in western washington. i would say 95% of them get shot off a grassy road. good job
