Southeast Idaho Bear Food

I just moved from Lewiston to the Rexburg area and thought I would join the site to check out information on what I'm getting into with the new country. I was scouting elk and mulies and saw a really nice black bear just about at timberline. He was casually strolling across the timber at around 9300 ft elevation. That's higher than up north. What type of food are these guys keying on up at those elevations?
