I’m mostly a whitetail hunter but hunt solo and large tracts of public land in Canada so I’m carrying sticks, platform, stand etc in and hauling meat out on my back if successful. I’ve had a MR Pop Up 28 for about 5 years and it’s a great pack for carrying sticks/stand in the load shelf but seems to struggle a bit with heavy loads.

I’m looking for a new pack with the same capabilities of hauling gear behind the pack but more capable of hauling heavier meat pack outs so I don’t need to make 2-3 trips. Looking at either the Seek Outside Revolution frame with Silverton 2300 pack or Stone Glacier X-Curve frame with the Approach 2800 pack. Wanting something for day trips that isn’t too bulky to bring in a tree.

Two main questions…Will either of these frame/pack options function significantly better than the Pop Up 28 for heavier loads? And which one of these options would you recommend for those that have used either/both?

Thanks!
