just got my tipi and stove set up for the first time today and was wondering how close can I have the stove to the carbon fiber pole? This is my first with a stove and don’t want to mess anything up. Lol thanks

Nice,the 4 man is a really good shelter.You'll be good with 3-4 inches from the pole...use the stove,touch the pole sometimes to see if is not too hot but normally i run my sxl stove pretty close.

I've got a medium SO titanium stove that I run with my SO 4-man.

I had the same question about the carbon pole when I first starting running the stove in it. I'm always a few inches away (approximately 3-4"), and I've never had a problem...and that stove has glowed red-hot! I also keep a section of aluminum foil in the bag so that I can loosely put that around the pole to deflect heat if needed. So far I haven't needed it.

Yeah I have watched a lot of videos and some people had a metal sleeve on the bottom of there pole but couldn’t find it on Seek Outside’s website. So thought I better ask before I ruined it! Lol

If you want a sleeve for the pole might check out luxe hiking gear - they have one designed for the stove pipe but would work on anything less than 4-5” Diameter

I wold just keep the foil in my pack. The luxe pipe sleeve is kinda heavy. it weigh in at 3 lbs and cost 60 bucks. I am not koncking Luxe. I love my Mega horn tent ....just my 2cents
