Slik Sprint Mini II Thoughts

Looking for info on this tripod. Will only be running binos off it (10x42). It has a ball head which I am fine with (for a season at least, I can upgrade the head later if I find it necessary). If a guy could get a new one for $50, would it be a good purchase? Seems to me like it would be and for what I would be getting I don't think I could do much better. I don't need one that goes up to 60" and I don't have a spotter so the weight should be fine.

I'm not as well versed in optics gear as others on this forum, but I have the same tripod and it has worked very well for me. You don't want to run a big spotter on that tiny ball-head, but for your binos it will work just fine. Maybe not the lightest tripod for it's size anymore, but it's well constructed and good quality for the price.

I have that tripod and can't stand it for binoculars. A pan head is a must imo. Even a cheapie like the vanguard ph111v is way more usable for glassing with bins.
