I just purchased a pain of these pants. On intial inspection these pants are sexy. I like the attention to detail , from the zips to the cargo pockets. And my butt looks great in them.

I have 0 mintues in the field with them, but I would like peoples imput on the durability. I'd like to use these pants for more than just rain pants. Id like to use it as a windproof layer whitetail hunting, skiing in the winter, fishing this spring. Will these pants hold up well to brush, barbded wire, tree climbing, ect? Or is this using the pants outside their intended purpose. These suckers were not cheap. I have no problem tearing stuff up, but I also don't believe in using a screwdriver as a hammer.

Thoughts?

Brush yes, barbwire absolutely not. I also wouldn't use them if I was still a tree topper either.

Brush, yes, to an extent. I can bust alders in them, but I'd not want to charge through thorns and briars with them. They're tough rain paints, not chaps.

Barb wire. No.
Working hanging stands...they won't fail, but they will wear out.
Skiing, sure.

Think it's all been said, they are tough enough for anything I would likely do with them in the way of hunting big game. I wouldn't run hounds with them through briars and brambles but otherwise good to go.
They held there own busting through tuckamore and says a lot...
