for what its worth I lost my wedding ring cleaning a deer last weekend, not sure if that gets me more cred!
Sorry to hear that Kb. Not trying to be insensitive but just could resist commenting. It’s not to often I see wedding rings on the rockslide classifieds!

Dude that sucks. I’ve come really close to loosing mine a couple times (once gutting an elk). I was in panic mode trying to find it. Funny thing is my wife wouldn’t care but i would be real bent out of shape about it.

All good! I just didn't want anyone to think they were buying something with negative energy attached to it haha. Just seemed like something an outsoors-type person might be interested in

I do recall a fella posting an engagement ring on here a while back...

I caught my finger on one of my climbing sticks the other day, so I stuck it in my bino harness. Haven’t seen it since. Luckily the misses was nice about it. I’m just trying to keep my finger attached to my body is all! Ha

I have a feeling this thread will stay toward the top for at least a few days, and yes it’s irresistible.

I gutted a deer in the snow once. It was just a skiff of snow but really cold out. When I was done I bent down and washed my hands in the snow and frozen leaves. When I was done I shook my hands off to get the melted blood and snow off. I drove an hour home. As I’m sitting on the couch I went to twirl the ring as I always did and HOLY CRAP ITS GONE. So I call my buddy that lives 2 minutes from there and he drives over into the food plot that I gutted it in, flicks on his flashlight and there it is frozen to the top of a leaf sticking out of the snow. He said he didn’t even have to look for it as soon as the light turned on it was in the center of the beam glistening.

that is pure luck! i was in a cut wheat field, and i'm pretty sure i flung it off when i went to wipe the blood off my hand, unfortunately i didnt realize it was gone until after i had been walking around the field looking for my arrow for a good 10 minutes. I was out there with a metal detector and everything. Thankfully the wife wasn't too concerned. When i held my hand up she was more concerned i was about to show her a nasty cut or something haha.

Man... y’all clearly haven’t seen people lose fingers! Ha. Cheap amazon silicon rings are the way to go in the field. Metal band for weekends away or date night only for this guy. Cheap rings are easier to replace than fingers.

When I was 12 my dad and I were building a big enclosed box stand. Ya know the fancy one with sliding windows and a heater. To the platform was 21’ and he was on the roof installing the rubber roofing when he fell backwards off the roof..... so about 27’. His ring got caught on a nail he’d pounded 1/2 in to hold something down and his ring shaved his finger and 1/2 way up the finger. They had to cut his ring off at the hospital. That was a scary day

Absolutely. Man, I can’t even imagine. We had a farmer up the road from us get his ring wound up in a round baler belt. My dad never wore one, but I decided I wanted to. The silicon ones have been good to me, been through 3 so far.
