I am cold-blooded, as in I get cold easily when sitting still (which for elk and deer, I do a lot of as a stand hunter).

I love puffys for their warmth but HATE them for the noise level. I know, I know, you get silence, warmth, and breathability but you can't have all three.

What has everyone done, or used as an outer layer, to silence their puffy jackets to up their level of silence? I am thinking of running a fleece-exterior jacket on the outside, as I am assuming the pile of the fleece will act as a silencing layer and as a sound absorber.

You can definitely quiet down a puffy by putting it under a quiet faced fabric jacket. I do exactly that.

There's quite a few that are quiet enough but most fall into a more active insulation type. Sitka Ambient, Kuiu Kenai, SG Cirque all come to mind.
