Has anyone shot their rifle using a Tricer LP head? How much did your rifle weigh and what caliber? I as the head able to lock down the rifle sufficiently?

Thanks!

My experience with the Tricer LP (and other pan heads) is that it's far more effective to put a shooting bag on top and rest off of that. A small section of arca can be added to the bag if desired, haven't bothered with that on mine. It won't wreck the tripod head, is better for follow up shots, and is just as stable if set up with a good rear support.

I'm in the same boat as you. I recently got a new rifle (.300wby) and ive switched over to the tricer setup. Now I keep going back and forth between getting a bipod for the new rifle or getting the Tricer GC as an addition to the tripod. Sorry no help, but you're not alone.
