Looking to gain some tips and tricks to finding some sheds this year. Whitetail, muley or elk. I’m fairly new to shed hunting as a whole, but definitely new to shed hunting in the hill country of the Pine Ridge Unit. Any suggestions aside from the “put miles on” or “glass south facing slopes” would be greatly appreciated. Topography features, things that stick out on your OnX maps when e-scouting areas to shed hunt, etc. I am still learning how to hunt in this topography as I grew up on the creek bottoms and Ag fields. Thanks in advance. God Bless!

Not trying to be a dick but That’s the fun of shed hunting is figuring it out by putting miles on the ground. If you aren’t finding them before they are dropping you will have a hard time until you figure out their zones and winter patterns.

Totally get it! I will be doing that regardless, never hurts to check for some first hand experience if anyone’s been in the area for shed hunting prior. Thanks for the reply!
