Is the belt removable/changeable?

Yes.
It is the EDC Omni belt.
It is not the same belt from the Duplex packs.

It's really a great setup, I found that without the belt I could add some velcro lined padding to give some lumbar support as well

Thanks guys! I’m looking forward to it. Looking at it for an EDC bag and as a day pack when I’m guiding where I don’t have to pack out. So, I don’t think I’m going to need a belt too often. I may even try attaching it to my Kifaru rifle scabbard (sold by EOL) for a frameless predator hunting or LR shooting setup if the Bane doesn’t turn out to be big enough; but then I’ll definitely need the belt.

When does Kifaru usually release new packs- is it throughout the year or do they do it in the beginning of the year? Just wondering if I should wait a few weeks before I order one, if there are new designs coming very shortly?
