I guess its the american dream to be bought out anyways. I know last time Kurt got on and assured all of us products wont change etc…

Is he even affiliated with SG anymore? I seen prices went up like 30 percent or something. Their helio is more than sitka/first lite/ kuiu direct replacement now. I always thought their apparel was marginal at best compared to the above. So interesting to see the future.

No point to this post other than a new brand should rise up in their places and repeat the cycle of being bought out.

Sitka=kuiu=firstlite=stone glacier.

Also others will rant made in america but truly no one cares about that because I don't see anyone repping Forloh.

I think only there bags are made in America.. Price on clothes may have gone up because of tariffs. There is a big thread on this already.

I want to buy something from Forloh, they just don't make anything I need.
That and I'm not a fan of camo. They offer no solids.

I was not impressed in the design of the gear I tried from them. IMO they don’t hold a candle to SG/sitka/firstlite in that regard. I’d really like to like the brand, I gave some feedback as well and it seemed like they didn’t really care to make anything similar to the competition.

Seen it on facebook. Maybe they didn't but its all related to moving all inventory to a warehouse in Ca. And then a post on raising prices due to tarrifs.
So you started a thread based on something you saw on Facebook that may not actually be true?

And you’re complaining about cost of their goods going up when everyone is facing it due to tariffs?

There was another post about the increases. Was just making a post that it is inevitable any small successful business eventually gives into a buy out. Its kurts business so his right and good on him for securing his families future.

I can care less about the price increase. People will either buy it or wont. To me it was barley worth the cost before and thats with a 25 percent pro discount. I only buy top of the line gear, but doesn't mean Im going to just spend extra money to spend it.

The point I was more trying to make was sitka pre gore was A+
Kuiu pre asia was A+
First lite meh. They maybe improving right now tbh.
Stone glacier odds are it goes downhill as its a small niche brand. 90 percent of hunters have probably never heard of SG.

I can say it is true they've sold out again and that Kurt will no longer be any part of it. I won't comment as to where they go from here, time will tell.

The mark up on most outdoors/hunting products is nothing short of insane but I guess I can't blame the companies as we the consumer keep paying it.

No doubt hunting is big business wether it's gear, tags, air transport fees, etc

I am definitely a fan of Stone Glacier and it’s tough to see a change, but I expected it after the purchase. I know many didn’t care for the foreign made clothing, but for me the functionality and fit was great. They were designed and tested in the USA which I can appreciate. The business was still ran locally before Kurt sold it. Good for him and I wish him the best, but I am doubtful I will continue to like their designs if they lost the minds that put them together.

So who are they being acquired by now? I didn’t see anything in a Google search, and nothing on that Facebook post signaled a change in parent company ownership.

I’m unaware of them getting sold again. Sounds like they are shutting down their headquarters in Bozeman to warehouse/ship from the same location in CA as other companies under the parent company.

Bozeman employees are moving into same location as Simms in Bozeman.
